Cypmal is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious conditions of the eye. It is particularly effective for:
Allergic Conjunctivitis: Rapidly stopping the intense itching, watering, and "gritty" sensation caused by dust, pollen, or smoke.
Redness & Swelling: Reducing the visible inflammation of the white part of the eye (sclera) and the inner eyelids.
Secondary Bacterial Infection: Preventing "pink eye" or discharge (pus) from developing when the eye’s natural defenses are weakened by allergies.
Bacterial Keratitis/Conjunctivitis: Treating active infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.
Not for Viral/Fungal Infections: Like all antibiotics, the Ciprofloxacin in Cypmal will not treat viral (like Apollo) or fungal infections. Prolonged Use: Do not use for more than 7 days unless directed by a doctor. Overuse of antibiotics can lead to "super-infections" or antibiotic resistance. Contact Lenses: Do not wear contact lenses while your eyes are red or while using these drops. Blurring: Your vision may blur slightly for a few minutes after application; avoid driving until your vision is clear.
The standard dose is usually one to two drops in the affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily.
Application Technique:
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid.
Hold the dropper over the eye. Do not touch the tip to the eye, eyelashes, or any surface to maintain sterility.
Squeeze one drop into the pocket of the lower lid.
Close your eye and press gently on the inner corner (near the nose) for 1 minute to keep the medicine in the eye and minimize systemic absorption.
If using other eye drops, wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying the next medication.
The most common side effect is a mild, temporary stinging or burning sensation immediately after application. Some patients may experience a bitter taste in the mouth (as the medicine drains into the throat) or mild light sensitivity. If you develop a severe skin rash, swelling of the face, or worsening eye pain, stop use immediately and contact our pharmacist.
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Discard the bottle 28 days (4 weeks) after opening, even if some liquid remains. Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children.
