Because Gatifloxacin is a fourth-generation antibiotic, it is often prescribed for more stubborn infections that haven't responded to standard treatments like Chloramphenicol or Gentamicin. Finish the Full Course: You must continue using Zadomax for the entire duration prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve within the first 48 hours. Stopping early allows the strongest bacteria to survive, leading to a "relapse" of the infection and contributing to dangerous antibiotic resistance. Do not wear contact lenses while you have symptoms of a bacterial eye infection or while using Zadomax, as the infection can contaminate the lenses and the medication's preservative can damage them.
The standard dose is usually one drop in the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake (up to 8 times a day) for the first two days, then one drop four times a day for the next 5 days.
Application Technique:
Wash your hands thoroughly.
